You said a computer monitor. Most will fit easily............
I don't have any trips planned at the moment to bring one back, Hence my interest in door to door shippers and big boxes, etc...
I was looking for a larger computer monitor that probably won't fit.

I bought one of these on Amazon as well. Shipped to DOMEX in Miami and delivered to my house.

The monitor I bought on Amazon in post #12 for only $77 dollars arrived at the DOMEX office in San Cristobal and they requested that I pick it up at the office.

Thanks for that . But it still cost almost $200 USD to ship and recieve a $119 TV with a total price of about $320 USD with shipping. Certainly better than $8 per inch for shipping, but still no bargain.

I am guessing the 8 dollar per inch ridiculous charge kicks in these days for TVs that are over $200 USD purchase price in the USA?

Sirena has TCL smart 43 inch TVs for about 20,000 RD which is about $320 USD at the end of the day (of course without the Fire part of the deal you got. IP TV can also be done with a different APP which might is probably available for the TCL).
The total cost of the TV plus shipping was RD$12,265. Blumbox charges RD$185 per lb., 25 lbs x 185 = 4,625 + 500 for ins. + 7,140 ($119,00 US) = RD$12,265. I believe that when you purchase TVs over 50" the $8 per inch charge comes into play. I have bought 3 of these TVs. Trust me I am as much of a bargain hunter as everyone on this forum.

No one asked, but just in case you're wondering, I paid DOMEX $29 for shipping my monitor.

So, $106 dollars all in for my new monitor with shipping included.

BTW, I was in Ines supermarket the other day, and discovered that DOMEX opened an office there as well.

Much, much better parking options.

I'm guessing the other office won't be around very long as it's in a very bad location with terrible access.

Thanks for the clarification. At about $200 USD all in, that is far more reasonable than I had interpreted your previous payment explanation.

I got a 50" TV at Sirena for $200. It was a Nikkei brand but the sticker fell off the front and it says Hyundai under that (painted on the frame)
Anyway I'm quite pleased for $200. It has a nice picture and I use a Firestick for IPTV

What model year?

I wish you hadn't posted that.

I hope I'm wrong here, but the question isn't necessarily how much is the purchase price but rather how long will it last and whether or not will it develop defects. We've purchased two Nikkei brand tv's from Sirena for a very good price, one lost image just early enough to fall under warranty. We have a Nikkei brand watercooler, going strong after 8 years of heavy usage, so the brand isn't necessarily bad.
