The European Union mission in the Dominican Republic has joined forces with the Symphony Foundation (Fundación Sinfonía) to present the Caribbean Lyrical Signing Festival 2021. The event seeks to motivate youths in the Caribbean to take up a career as tenors and sopranos. It also seeks to promote cultural exchanges in the region. The event has the backing of the Ministry of Culture.
The deadline for registering to participate is 28 February 2021. An international jury will choose six winners that will benefit from new opportunities for lyrical training and advancement.
The Caribbean Lyrical Festival is scheduled to take place Sunday, 9 May 2021, coinciding with the celebration of Europe Day.
