Chef team makes people happy but fails to set Guinness Record for the biggest sancocho

A DR chef team tried, but was not able to beat the Guinness Record for the largest sancocho in the world. The effort fell 2,300 lbs. short. The team had to deliver 35,362 lbs and only cooked up 32,978 lbs during the attempt on 25 November 2023 during the Flavor Fusion Event held at the Mirador del Este Park.

Highly reputed chef Maria Marte and Amílkar Gonell commanded the chefs that tried to set a record for the iconic Dominican stew.
