Chivo ( Goat meat) price

Anyone here aware of the price per pound of this? In Santiago/La vega, they hang the skinned carcass inside a small roadside shack and sell from there...i.e., fresh. I am not looking for frozen stuff sold in the supermarkets....

I think mid-200's is right --- certainly where I live.

Oftentimes it depends on availability

We used to raise sheep too and sold at RD$ 130 per pound for the best cuts but goat always more expensive!

Thanks folks....I bought some in Santiago yesterday...fresh i.e., not frozen. 300 pesos. Around Christmas it was 225 if I recall correctly. Did not know that the country has gone richer during the pandemic....everyone must be eating cakes or it was a aberration, meat stall being in Gurabo.

tail up, it is a goat.
tail down, it is a sheep.
no kidding - pun intended
