Agreed, but I’ve seen how happy the poor people in my campo are when they get these.
There's an old man who cleans our outside perimeter every two days or so. He had a bad leg and really struggled. The owner of the building (super cheapskate lawyer) gives him 150 pesos for it, and he has to find his own plastic trash bags. Brutal.
Every time he comes, I give him 100 pesos to carry my trash bag to the street.
Last year for Christmas I gave him a nice Christmas gift after which he disappeared.
I thought it may have been a mistake, but he showed up last week - with his leg fixed. He pointed at it and said "That was because of you"

I have a painful knee JD - how do I get to your place to carry out trash bags?

Either he has a cheapie doctor or you're over gifting?
