Christmas Music/Merengue??

Is there any Christmas music that's merengue or bachata/salsa or is it considered sacreligious and they wouldn't do it. In Spanish.

Years ago the Salsoul Orchestra did a Christmas album-- I think it was salsa based and in English.

The name is probably from the donkey that Mary rode when she was looking for a place to have the baby. El Pavo because people usually cook turkey for christmas eve.

El Conjunto Quisqueya is one that's played more during Christmas time and El Torito also sings good christmas music.

there is a great domincan CD store on clinton street south of houston. NOt sure if they have xmas stuff tho. BUt they have stuff that i have only found in the DR...and for great prices.
