"Dotol Nastra" interviewed an ex-Dominican woman police officer. Even she says that women are choosen very few to be part of the Dominicsn National Police. She also said that men police officers treat women police officers well in the Police Palace in SDQ, but things are different in the regional police departments. She says when she was sent to San Carlos (SD neighborhood) she had a very bad experience with officers trying to sleep with her, including a coronel that almost forced her until she denounced him. Afterwards no one messed with her and she had a reputation for denouncing a coronel. Perhaps with more women police this type of situations will be less due to pressure from the women.
