There is no other place that I know of in Sosua that charges more then 100 pesos for a beer..And why should you pay a Puta premium? Classlesscos is not a nightclub place like crystals in Pop where the girls work for the club. It is just a disco, where putas tend to frequent...They will scam the newbies, but the word will catch on, and their sales will drop.. There are other options within the area...

Sosua is what it is. Some find it incredibly fascinating. Others are bored after 2 days.

NOT TRUE..Sure the chicas get in free, but they pay the same for the drinks..but lets be honest here. It is the male tourist that is spending the most money on drinks in Class less cos..
These 50 peso plastic cards came from After 1 Disco, owned by the same guy. It all started after they raised the entry fee to 150 and more guys refused to buy the chicas drinks or more for themselves at the 150 min. price. So Classicos did the thing to do here as in the Dominican Business 101

I really think most of the actual "hooking up" at that location happens downstairs at the Merengue bar anyway. All you have to do is find your novia de la noche there and then instead of going upstairs, take her somewhere else where there is no cover and the drinks are not overpriced. If enough people do this or just avoid the place altogether, they should get the message. On the other hand, it would not be an atypical Dominican response to raise the prices even more to try to make up for reduced business. In any event, I won't be paying it.
Wow, and I get uptight about paying 50pesos instead of 45pesos. Seems part and parcel of Sosua and its own clientel. Young men leaving minimum wage jobs over the water for a week somewhere they can pretend to be millionaire ganster rappers, looking like dicks and being taken for a ride. Used to be only the girls could make them look stupid and take them for all they had, seems now the bars are tapping into the power of the stupidity these guys bring with them. If the guys were real about the money they had instead of all this modern pimp loving lifestyle they wouldn't get stung anywhere near as hard as they do.
Since the day when Willy sold Classico to this fat Italian the place is gown downhill very fast. Especially after X moved to Bologna. Neither myself nor my friends nor guests never go to C. any longer. I use this plastic crap to show to my visitors and clients as an example of crookiness unintegrity and dishonesty.
It is hard to believe how fast Sosua is deteriorating. Just one huge overpriced tourist trap.

What are you looking to accomplish with your repetitive negativity, your posts get old after a while. Perhaps try a new sock puppet and post something useful for a change mate.
Sosua is what an individual makes of it. I never go there looking for women or drugs and I always have a great time. I love the ocean, the beaches, the food and the company I keep. In 5 years I have never felt uncomfortable or unsafe in Sosua. Keep good company, don't hang out with the dredges and you will have a great time. IMHO.......

Sosua has a mass of repeat visitors, infact I would go as far as to say the majority of guys who visit are regulars, most have favourite bars, girls, accom and are well known amongst the locals, this is what I mean by the stupidity they bring. If they had any sense they would know to be a little poorer would make for cheaper times. Instead they blow 6 months salary in 7 days and go home to work another 6 months to pay for the xmas trip. In this time they think they are kidding the girls and the locals that this is thier spending velocity on a day to day living, it is silly and the only people they are really kidding are themselves, the girls are not stupid, the bar owners are not daft and everyone capitalizes on this silly pimp ass dream they bring with them.
They all say don't flash the cash or you will be robbed, when infact this is what they all do but cover it with a rented hummer to drive down pedro clisante 5 times a day, taking 3 girls home in one night, buying a group of girls drinks a dress whatever. Now drinking beer to the roundest number dictated by the bar itself and not exactly what the guy wants to consume. Thats amazing anyone is drinking in that place. We all know in this country they will take from you what they can until you decide otherwise. All I see is other bars adopting the same BS ethics and scams, it is a tourist town and with regards to that the locals don't count, so lets just hope people keep rolling up with wads of cash to pump into the area, it is better than ghost town Sosua with no one to rip off.

I hope this isn't in my direction as I haven't mentioned thugs once and I certainly didn't bash anyone for spending their money in Sosua (stupid yes, thuggish no), infact quite the oposite. I want people to keep coming to Sosua and spending their money that is where my post ends with the thanks that we have these guys blowing wages down there.

6 months salary in 7 days? Really? You've been away from the trough for too long. If I brought 2 weeks pay to spend on the most ridiculous hedonistic adventure ever experienced in the history of mankind for 7 days in the DR...well....after I got released from the hospital I'd still have a weeks pay in my pocket. Most of the poverty pimps you're describing net more in a month than the average local grosses in a year. Let them have their fun. If that's not your thing then just go and do what you do. No skin offa your back, is it?
