It's a shame that CO is leaving STI...their service onboard, unlike Jetblue's was complete...I flew Jetblue last week and had to pay for headphones, as well as for my first bag and on board meal...plus even though the seats are leather...the plane is too narrow and for some reason my ears were killing me!! I rather fly CO, where at least I dont have to pay for my meal, have free headphones and I only get charged for the 2nd checked bag...too bad they were full and are leaving STI!!!
First, American charges you more for their headphones and their IFE is not even an IFE compared to JetBlue's DirecTV, XM radio and movie options.
Second, JetBlue DOES NOT charge for the first bag, so I don't know where you got that from, only second bag charge if you booked on or after May 1, 2008.
Third, JetBlue DOES NOT serve meals, neither do they sell meals onboard. They have unlimited variety of snacks that you can eat, and when you buy your ticket it tells you that they don't serve meals, and that you can feel free to bring your own meals, etc., so you stating that you paid for a meal makes me wonder if what you are saying is not true at all.
Fourth, CO is a legacy carrier that have been flying for years. JetBlue only has 8 years of operation, but don't be surprised if they finally choose to do some "Premium Class" onboard that started with their Even More Legroom product which has been a hot selling product.
As we all know it is your option to fly certain carrier in a market that has been dominated for years by AA, which thanks God that's going to finally end, I'd rather have JetBlue (New York's hometown airline) to be in that market and overcome all the legacy carriers, especially AA that has treated us the Dominicans like animals, now more with those 8 plus hours, and even next day delays, if you doubt me as STIOP if I'm lying about the MAJOR delays of AA in STI. (AA has also been having MAJOR delays in the MIA-SDQ, and JFK-SDQ routes).
