Dominicans on the island are mostly passive folks.
New Yorkers are the complete opposite.
I'm giving the Dominicans a pass on this one.
I will agree with you on that! My point is that people who do not know may judge all Dominicans on the behavior of those in NY.

I always try to be conscious that as an ex-pat my behavior here should not be something that might - By over generalization- reflect badly on the people of my country. I try to never forget that I am a guest here.

I was attempting to apply the same reasoning there. Guess I just did not explain myself well.

You’re comparing an overall group with a tiny minority. Apples to oranges. Dominicans are mostly passive people everywhere they are found. Notice the word mostly. If it wasn’t for those not covered in mostly, there wouldn’t even exist a Dominican Republic today.

Most Dominicans are very docile everywhere they are found. In fact, most Dominicans living in NYC don’t even go to any of the Dominican parades. Care to give a guess what % of Dominicans are troublemakers?

A Dominican york, or a young Dominican in NY should not be counted in any poll. A standard poll would be marked N/A. meaning "subject had been compromised. Data has been poisoned."

Dem Yorkers and Dominicans raised on the island ain't the same breed. End of story.
But both are mostly passive people and there is no way yo deny that. All I’m getting from you is “things are how I said it, period” when what I’m noticing is that on this you’re talking nonsense. Things aren’t how you say, they are what they are regardless of what you think. Case in point.

What’s next? That you will say people in the general population and people in jail are the same when they are not, but you lived in freedom and in jail so you know what you’re talking about? Right… As previously said, things are despite of what you think, not because of it.

Btw, Santiagueros and Capitaleños are different as are those from Samaná from those from Jimaní or those from a Dominican campo to those from a Dominican city. Not all Dominicans are exactly the same regardless where they are found worldwide.

Let us know when the Dominican government makes it the easiest for you to become a Dominican citizen. Oh, I almost forgot you’re a gringo and not Dominican. Oh well, maybe in the next life you’re born as a Dominican, maybe…

The Dominicans that took the drug trade away from the Colombians and Jamaicans in NY were not docile.

Those Dominicans don’t amount to 1% of the Dominican population. This would be the world’s first when it’s said that most Dominicans are docile and someone responds that a group that essentially is a negligible part somehow mskes that statement invalid.

With that logic, the next DR1 belief is that most Dominicans live in mansions. o_O

As someone who is intimately aware of Dominicans and their characteristics docile is not a word I would use as a descriptor.

Who just happens to be married into a very large Dominican family for almost 25 years.
Or you really are that guy. I'm a believer!
