It depends where in the country you’re located.
I used coralina (both finished and rustic) for a patio deck project some months ago.

I used tiles of 2cm thickness in 40x60 sizes.
The rustic unfinished was around RD$1,150 Sf and the finished one same exact size was RD$1,780 Sf.

I paid more than usual due to the urgency of finishing the project before the rain forecasted for the days ahead.
It was at the place after Bellon in Ave Duarte in Santiago. Forgot the name. But they’re the only ones there.

That didn’t include delivery fees.

I extended the patio deck and added a small seating wall.

They are easy to work with and to cut. Not so easy if using a semi mixed grout instead of just sand compacted.

Be ready to seal it, unless you plan to keep brushing mold off your patio regularly.
Also to keep it from stains from food drops and drinks spilled.

Heavy! Let them deliver to you.

You can buy coralina stone pretty much all around the country. It’s mined here in the country.

The price depends on distance of sales point from distributor. It’s heavy and the farthest the distance, the higher the transportation cost will play in how much you pay by Sf just to buy it, without delivery fee accounted for.

I don’t mean the transportation cost from where you buy it from to your house, but the cost of goods for the retailer to source them in the first place.

Also, the amount of material Sf you purchase will play a part on the sales price.

There are some color differences on coralina. A lighter and darker shade.
Also some specialties with unique patterns and coloring.

If using for a pool deck, use the thicker bricks.
If just a patio deck covering, you can go with the 2cm tiles.

Place is called Marmotech design center.
But like I explained, you can buy from other sources -maybe cheaper- all over the country.

yea buy from marmotech if you want to pay triple for the same product.. google rincon de las piedras and that's usually close to the cheapest in Santiago with the same quality as marmotech considering they supply marmotech and menicucci :)

Following. This will be my next house project when I have some spare $$$. Looking to replace my old fashioned lajas crazy paving with finished coralina for our outside patio area around the pool and garden. Approx 110 m2.

What sealant is used to seal it? How much would I need for 110m2?. How many coats? Does it need to be reapplied on a regular basis?

For an area of 110 m2 using 40x60 you will need some 460 tiles.

Sealer coverage varies by type and application, but generally about 14 m2 per gallon in coverage with a single application.
So given 110 m2 for your project, around 8 gallons for a single application. Usually a single coat is needed in most cases for finished tiles, two or three for porous natural unfinished stones. Repeating several years apart. Usually 3 years until it needs a new coat. It all depends on degradation rate.

You can also leave it as is, but scrub wash from time to time with chlorine to keep it from turning green with mold.
It fades more like that with time, but you don’t need to pay attention to a sealer ever again.
Some like the natural patina look, some don’t.

It all comes down to personal preferences.

Oops! As for the sealer type, any stone sealer will do the job just fine, given the tropical setting being used at.

Just make sure is a clear type, unless you plan to change the tone of the tiles.

Make sure it will be a sunny cloud-free week to apply the seal. The longer it dries, the better it will perform.
