The Ministry of Public Health’s Epidemiology Department Coronavirus Bulletin #225 reports 419 new PCR confirmed cases.
5,294 first PCR tests were carried out in time for the deadline of Bulletin #225. The 14-day average is 3,745 tests.
The 24-hour positivity rate is at 7.91% and the 4-week positivity rate continues to decline and is at 11%, both record lows. The downward trend of active cases continues with 19,610, or 125 less than for the previous report.
The country continues under the declaration of a National State of Emergency at least through 1 December 2020. The Ministry of Public Health is concerned that home and friends’ gatherings and increased mobility can lead to the same virus flare-ups that have affected other countries worldwide, mainly due to pandemic fatigue.
