The Presidency has removed curfew restrictions nationwide. At the same time, the Ministry of Public Health announced more preventive measures. As of 18 October 2021, the government will be requesting physical or digital proof that a person is fully vaccinated for entering public spaces or public schools. The vaccine proof requirement is to be enforced to encourage more vaccination. The measure has already motivated an increase in first doses at vaccination stations nationwide. An estimated 58% of the adult population is vaccinated but the government has stocks for 100% of the population to have the minimum two jabs.
