The 4-week Covid-19 positivity rate continues to drop and is now at 2.91%, with the 24-hour positivity at 8.98% as of Covid-19 Bulletin #930 dated 4 October 2022.

The number of Covid-19 registered cases in the Dominican Republic for Bulletin #930 was 116 up from 100 on the previous day. The seven-day average (confirmed lab-reported cases) is at 112. The number of active cases is now at 538 and 468 for the seven-day average.

Except in hospitals, every day less people wear facial masks in the Dominican Republic. Nevertheless, in recent days, given a known common cold that is getting around, more people have been resorting back to their face masks as a preventive measure here to stay.

As per Bulletin #930, with the deadline of 4 October 2022, the Ministry of Public Health has registered 646,738 PCR or antigen-confirmed cases since the first case on 1 March 2020.
