That's still a LOT of people not exactly "social distancing."

Seems Pelegrino has more followers than a gubmint mandate...
This raises one of my favorite topics. Now, if God somehow will save some people and let others die, it means he takes sides or has favorites rather. This is the problem with religion. It's just more programming. Any doubt, go stand in front of that crowd and tell them they are nuts. Nothing says programming like someone defending their dogma and belief system

Sorry in advance for straying off topic

You should probably learn what you're talking about before posting. Just a suggestion.

I stayed at a hotel in Juan Dolio last week and when I booked on Booking.com there were many others taking reservations. The only problem was getting food in the evening - I had to get a takeout at 4pm.
I'm wondering how things are in JD in general. I visit twice a year and love the area, is my second home. What hotel did you visit? and did you enjoy your stay?

I stayed at Plaza Real, in the new part of town. I couldn't really enjoy my stay as I couldn't leave the hotel. The good news as I was one of the very few people staying my room only cost $20 for the night.

That video is UN-believable!

Quite a few masks but also a lot of High-Fives....with bare hands...

Not sure what the police vehicle was doing near the start of the video or the ambulance at the end...picking up the dead??

Were they filming "Life of Brian 2" in Puerto Plata? I watched the original on Easter Sunday.

Amazing thing that parade was.

And this is the plan (which no one will accept) to reopen businesses. No way they can enforce this. August 22 for restaurants - ridiculous.

The proposed plan for reopening announced
I won't list all the businesses but there will be 5 stages :
Stage 1: (May 11th) - Call Centers, fumigators, Hardware stores, Vets, Construction, road work, Message services, Car dealers, Laundries, auto parts, Commercial deliveries.
Stage 2: (June 1st) - Auto Repair shops, Furniture stores, textile producers, Beauty salons, Lawyers and accountants, advertising
Stage 3: (June 22nd) - Personal services, clothes & shoe stores, store for specialist products?, Domestic products
Stage 4: (August 10th) - Restaurants, Tour operators, Food trucks, Hotels
Stage 5 : (August 31st) - Commercial Events venues, Gyms, Bars and discos, Play activities, Parks, and Recreation enters

Beaches - To be determined later

Good summary of the 'disappeared" power point presentation
