I'm still trying to figure out why people by paracetamol(?). It's acetaminophen(Tylenol) - you just pay three times as much for it.
Paracetamol is the name it is known by in Europe. On this side of the pond it's usually called acetaminophen.

And yet others call it, Tylenol.

Didn't know that. But I use ibuprofen anyways.

I have recently been adminstered Eliquis/Apixaban for a nagging condition. Ibuprofen which was my go to following 18 holes is a no-no for now.
Paracetamol (Tylenol) is the answer, as per my Doctor, but in my opinion doesn't cut the mustard.

Exactly. That's why I switched to ibuprofen decades ago. Acetaminophen doesn't do it for me.

Perfectly safe you can take two 500 mg tablets every four hours.
That IS NOT a "Perfectly Safe" Dose.

The recommended maximum daily dose of acetaminophen is 4 g. (4000mg) over a 24 hour period.

Taking two 500 mg. tablets (1000 mg.) every four hours puts you at the MAXIMUM daily dose of 4000 mg after only 12 hours, half the day.

The additional insult to one's liver could have serious consequences.

The point is 750 mg at one time is very safe. 4 times 4 equal 16 so taking two every four hours would mean you reacheded your maximum in 16 hours. You have to sleep some time.
