So enjoying reading the forums and finding out so much about DR. We are making our first trip next week and will be staying @ Costambar. Seem to be having a hard time finding info on this place. Any help would be appreciated. What is the beach like, trans in & out, things like that. Thanks

Have you done a search on the posts? I know there has been posts over the years. Try it and if there are stlll questions, repost. There are a number of DR1 members living in Costambar and I'm sure that we can answer any specific questions you have.

Don't know why I didn't think of google--duh. Anyway, I will be there Tuesday and see it all for myself. A jahfelipe answered another post I made & he lives there now so I already have a new contact. So looking forward to being there. You all make it sound so wonderful.

I did a search and found lots of info---of course it raises more ???
What's with the swimming water? A while back people were saying its not good quality? I would be careful as to the drinking water & the ice cube thing just by the fact I've been to Mexico, but that's a drag that the Atlantic is not safe. I live in a small town in Florida on a bay and actually I don't swim there either--being a bay all the nasties tend to end up there. Looking forward to the waterfalls and since I'll be there a few weeks--do some exploring of some other towns. Yea about the casino--love Blackjack.
