what i dont understand if they dont have any losers over in punta cana, how does the casino make any money???

and just because Hilary Clinton goes to Punta Cana once in a while doesnt make everyone there pretty and classy!!!!

DOES IT??

well if you are wondering if you have class and are good looking, try booking a room in Punta cana, if they accept you, walla you have your answer!

at least he didnt ask for $30 a night rooms as well!!

Don't worry you fit right in here with all of the other internet scholars that thrive on spelling and grammar lessons!

And exactly who did I insult?
If I may address your question.
You didn't really insult any persons, per se.
Your remarks about some locations, may have insulted some people who take pride in where they live.
The real point is that you did not get any good suggestions, as you slammed the door closed on the areas that are probably the best suited for you.
Having a closed mind and false perceptions about certain areas in this country, limits you.
For you to think and even say that all the beautiful classy people are in Punta Cana, is so absurd, that you were not accorded the respect normally given to a poster asking questions, thus you did not get any valid answers.

hey Rocky,
there are classy people everywhere and i try not to run in them, they suck.
he said that because he read that within the posts he was reading on this board, not because it is a matter of fact for him/or by his experience,he is a new poster and he is new to the country.anyways, what is Classy??worth, what is it anyways?
he is wrong, so tell him about the people and the beaches and the nightlife on the north coast, like i wrote about the east, so he gets the good and bad from all sides together and can make a decision.
you're the man for the"ugly non fancy rocky beach north" man, lol.
tell him

It was taco night instead, lastnight.
The party was too big and the weather too wet for doing it up the hill at Sandi & Curt's, so they brought the party down here.
No pix, as it would have seemed like a commercial event.

Sandi & Curt, btw, make absolutely awesome tacos, and they just brought all their stuff down here, invaded the kitchen and spoiled the 30 or so friends with "to die for" tacos and all sorts of desserts.

The pix below are from the last Curt & Sandi taco party.

The rooftop is where it all happens.

In the house, through the kitchen, dress up some tacos,

Then head on up to the rooftop,

Chow down and have a drink while enjoying the view of the western part of Sosua, (and stay away from the edge)

And finish it all of with some super duper home made chocolate cake.

that's what's called a weekend.
my saturday went a bit rainy too, few pictures, still not on the computer, been fishing in the morning with a couple, sun been out but from the first moment we saw the dark clouds in the distance moving from the landside seawards, no winds no waves, but the predicted lots of water by the first look on them right away. we spend 3 hrs flyfishing in the shallows near the reef of the barcelo bavao area, when the rain reached about 1/2 mile besides us we took a whole in the reef to enter the bavaro beach at the Bibijagua, a beach market beside the barcelo Palace hotel, always cold beers, always good company, so we spend an hr there and used a brake in the rain to drive back to the Catalonia hotel nearby dry. the day stayed rainy here, too.
today is sunday, will hook up with Sunscape Mike at our corner bar office this afternoon, how the rest of the weekend will go???
who knows??
cheers
Mike

Sounds great.
And to think that there are folks who don't know what to do with themselves in the DR.
It takes more than a bit of rain to stop the DR Party Machine.

o yes Rocky,
there are foreigners living here on the island and they don't know it better than after work, if they work, to frequent day by day the same bar, using the same bar seat and they call that living in paradise, jejejeje.
some know it better, let's go on to enjoy that life.

Thanks for the pictures, especially the one with the wonderful presendente beer. We been home 2 weeks now and I still long for a cold one!
Sammy, we stayed in the North, beaches are beautiful, people are more beautiful and the fun was out this world. Get out the resort and go see how the real DR works.

Oh by the way how can they be classier when they are all doing the same job? Ultimately you will still wake in the morning at least once and wish you still had beer goggles on

looks like a great evening! when I finaly make it up to the low class north coast (lol) you have to invite me over to cook. I am half mexican...and i can make some killer tacos. Gotta be soft corn tortillas...and either carnitas, lengue or camarones. lime, cilantro, avacado and of course some haberno sauce.

ya'll can supply the presidentes!

i did find a fancy taqueria here in nyc...they make an awesome spicy pork with pineaple taco (i know..the pineapple sounds yuppy etc...but the combo of spice and sweet was amazing!)

hey, fancy in NYC????
that only ncan be a lie, jejeje
come over to the cold north coast to make your half mexican tacos and i will be there, too, even if it's not the fancy/classy side of the island, but for some half original tacos and a couple of original presidentes i will travel around the island, ha ha.
i am sure Rocky will provide the Roof, yeah, sound s like an other great weekend in paradise.
PS: don't worry about my talking about NYC, i've never been there, i hate cities.
