Court again postpones restart of Odebrecht’s US$92 million bribes trial

The presiding judge of the First Collegiate Court of the National District, Giselle Perez announced the postponing for 5 October 2020 the restart of the case against the six remaining defendants. These are: Odebrecht commercial representative Angel Rondón, former Public Works Minister Víctor Díaz Rúa; lawyer Conrado Pittaluga; former PLD senator Tommy Galán; former PRD senator Andrés Bautista García; and the former director of the National Potable Water and Sewage Institute (Inapa) Roberto Rodríguez.

The court delayed the hearings to give time to process the definitive files for in favor of another eight people that had been involved in the case as handled under former Attorney General Jean Alain Rodríguez.
