All I see is a possible return of curfews, since they have little impact on AI tourism. Nothing more. AI tourism is what it is all about.

As you mentioned, I think cruising requires one to prove they are vaxed, so they don't face any other restrictions not already in place and already have set times to be off and on board.
Omicron is already in the DR. In a few weeks it will be 80% of cases. Last week Spain had 15% now it has 70% of cases due to Omicron and 60,000 daily cases (mostly asymptomatic). And they have 80% of vaccination rate.

What makes you think Omicron is not already spreading like a wildfire in the DR? It takes just one case...

It's in the DR already but lack of sequencing is why it's not so widely reported.

And I don't think DR population will accept another curfew. Not when they see Omicron ranging worldwide with mostly asymptomatic cases, very few deaths, and lower total hospitalization numbers compared to Delta variant, all the while being multifold more infectious than Delta.

I'll tell you what, just about everyone I have frequent contact with is saying the same thing: There is a really bad "Gripe" that's been going around for the last week, and everybody seems to have it.

Coincidence?

Today there were several articles about how the new variant seems like a common cold.

I'm staying in this multiple-unit Airbnb property in Santo Domingo and everyone including the host is having a bad flu.

Well I hope it's the new variant so we can all get those natural antibodies and get it over with and move on.

Do I suspect that Omicron is a certainty already in the DR? Absolutely. How could something as contagious as the measles not be here already? I was just waiting for one confirmed case. Cases double every 2 to 3 days with Omicron.

People ask what good does testing do. Here is one "good" thing. It lets government present higher "case rates". And you know what governments do if there are higher case rates, eh? Actual case rates are likely to be at least an order of magnitude higher than government presented so called actual case rates.

What a coincidence. Friends of mine here in Cabarete are saying there are a lot of reports of people with the gripe, too, and suddenly last night I came down with what seems to me to be a cold - scratchy throat, running nose, congestion, slight cough, and overall malaise. No fever or loss of taste and smell. I'm starting to feel a little better already.

P.S. I'm taking Fludibron, Broncochem, and vitamin C with a Presidente chaser. Seems to be working good.

Omicron reportedly does not cause loss of taste or smell. So unless you get tested, you will never know on that issue.

JUST IN - UK government wants to send Covid teams armed with Covid jabs door-to-door to reach five million unjabbed Britons.
What will you do when they come to your door?

I would roll up my sleeve. The problems began when they come for your liver.

That doesn't make any sense, why would that be?
Autopsy results of people who possibly died after the shots show that many organs had inflamations. Killer-cells infiltrated to attack the cells that the mrna vaccines hijacked to produce part of the spike protein, especially after the 2nd shot.
Besides, it is now clear that NO VACCINE injected into the body can protect against being infected, because antibodies are only in the blood stream and not below the mucous membranes. The antibodies below the mucous membranes are preventing the viruses entering the body and only natural immunity puts them there, no vaccine can lead to that. Vaccines can only help fighting the virus inside the body, but not unlike the natural immunity prevent the virus to enter the body.
Worse, the immun system also attacks the cells producing the killer cells if they are hijacked by the vaccines, leading to HIV like symptoms like herpes, shingles or rapid growing cancer.
Looking at the high resolution autopsy picture of the damage that a immune system running amok does inside the body makes me think that with this knowledge getting a shot is commiting suicide or worse because of the suffering.
Summary of the autopsies is that the vaccinations must stop immiadetly.

Today, after seeing the results of the autopsies, I feel it is time to be be serios and to act.
With todays knowledge to continue with the vaccinations is no less than the biggest crime in history of mankind.
The 2nd world war caused between 2 and 5 million victims. This number will be small compared to this crime.
There must be a Nuremberg 2.0.
