Can some please tell me what the current state of shutdowns and curfews are in the country? https://dr1.com/forums/threads/current-state-of-toque-de-queda-shutdowns-curfews.395072/11 crematoriums running 24 hrs a day for more than two weeks in Wuhan tells you they were lying from the beginning. My DIL tells me her mother tells her there have been many cases in her home city of Changchun but the government has a media blackout.
With cases "surging" around the world, more restrictions, curfews and protests are happening. Winter weather in the cold countries will make that even worse. With any luck they'll start dying off soon and things will get back to normal.
I agree. The freaks are definitely in full control. I'm (cautiously) optimistic at some point in our life time that will change but not holding my breath. With cases "surging" around the world, more restrictions, curfews and protests are happening. Winter weather in the cold countries will make that even worse.
New highs in those amazingly well governed countries as well.
CV19 is here, there and everywhere to stay. I see no reason the curfews won't be extended in the DR over and over and over again.
Any removal of the curfew will lead to chaos and misery. It's crowds and spike up or less crowds and spike down. We have to make smart choices.I expect the curfew to be scaled back or eliminated by the first week of December. There are tourism sector and other businesses hanging on by their fingernails until then. I hope I'm not wrong. I was at the Parque Colon yesterday afternoon during the height of Carolina's pedestrian zone event. Thousands of people passed through and lingered in that space packed like sardines and very few wearing masks. I'm not a scientist but I don't see that an 8 hour overnight curfew will mitigate that sort of thing unless you can only be infected at night.
