Eduardo Sanz Lovaton, director of the General Customs Agency (DGA) presented on 12 November 2024 “a cutting-edge trade data dashboard designed to empower both domestic and foreign investors and traders to make data-driven decisions”.

The new tool provides real-time, reliable, and dynamic statistics on imports and exports, categorized by product and country of origin, among other specifications. It was developed to enable foreign investors and those interested in trading with the Dominican Republic to access commercial data instantly.

“This is a tool that is committed to innovation and transparency in Dominican trade,” said Customs Director General Eduardo Sanz Lovatón during the launch event. Stop the red tape.
The biggest burden is the amount of red tape.
Just to repair a wall by the water you need 8 permits in diferent government agencies...it takes between 3 and 6 months each.....
