Everything goes thru the x-rays at Santiago, porter or no porter. If you have a bunch of phones, keep them in your pockets. You would be surprised how many things you can fit in cargo pants and a suit jacket.

I was talking about SDQ. I have no idea how things work at STI but I would reckon a porter would certainly help. I would recommend one phone in your hold luggage, one in a handbag or a pocket. Spread them around like that.

I have gone thru SDQ with 10 phones and never had a problem. I hate cargo pants and never have owned a pair. If you go thru with phones in your cargo pants it looks like you just took a dump and surely they will stop you.

A forum board of opinions...you got to love it.

its hit and miss when you go threw the scanner at PUJ sometimes they scan your carry-on and sometimes they tell you just go.
