Ever wonder will DR invest it's first kind data center and the perfect place would be Punta Cana because it's right by underground cable lines that connects to the world.

If we can do this, it would bring big business and create big IT jobs.

DR
They should build the data centers right next to the micro-chip plants they're gonna build in DR!

There has been a data center(IaaS) near San Souci for years. I forget the name. It is a high end completely redundant and secure facilty. Most larger organizations all lease from there.

Here, it is now part of KIO Networks. This infrastructure has been there for years. I know because I had clients who were leasing space

KIO Networks DO|1 in Santo Domingo is located at the following address:

KIO Networks DO|1
Calle Pedro Henriquez Ureña 137,
Santo Domingo,
Dominican Republic

There was a location in San Souci for years. I don't recall where the large Verizon data center was if it was San Souci, but was purchased by CODETEL years back and then I think sold to Kio

Is the power grid reliable enough for this?
as per son of manolo, a data centre operated here before?

We can if we add huge solar panel farm right next to it, yes

Put it in Punta Cana, power grid is very reliable there
