Dawn vs Axiom Detergent

I figured with inflation I would save a few pesos and on my last month's shopping trip so I purchased Axiom liquid dish washing detergent, as it was cheaper than the Dawn that I have been using.
Well as I found out cheaper doesn't mean less expensive.
It takes 3-4 times the green Axiom liquid to clean the same amount as the thicker blue Dawn detergent.

This is so true of many products - like cheap Chinese motorcycles. Buy one Chinese moto for the 1/4 the price of a Honda, yet that Honda will last 20 years vs 2 years for the Chinese moto. Do the math.

I never got into the paste type dishwashing detergents - they are cumbersome to use.

Yes it is costly here but I use very little because it needs very little to work

I think that you need washing detergent that softens the hard water of the DR but I must confess that I am not an expert.

I have not been able to find a tank( as in blue barrels) shipper, nor has my daughter in law in the Miami area. Do any still exist?
Only boxes have been quoted.

Could be because shippers sell the boxes but usually not the tanques. You’d have to buy /supply your own. Call and ask them for a price, they’ll usually ship anything, tanques, appliances, furniture, etc.

I bet it wasn't easy teaching her 'concentrated', as it involves some idea of math (i.e. x > y)

Dawn is probably the best grease cutting liquid soap you can buy. Mechanics buy it because it's so good for cleaning parts and washing hands.
I use it to wash my engines because it dries without leaving water markets.
Dawn has just come out with a new product called Dawn Platinum PowerWash. I can't wait to try it.

Never been to Pricememart RD 😩…never been tempted to go …what with the 3 or so hour drive to SD 🥵…or wherever it is. Sometimes it’s cheaper… and more fun……to take the 30 minutes flight to SJU …spend one or two days …filling up …with Walmart , Old Navy, Office Depot and …. Cheesecake Factory….🤤… and come back with stuff we need 🙏….and let Amazon do the rest. 🤷
