That's right finally directv legaly in the dr. man i am so dam happy i get to watch my yankees without having to worry that i will get zapped.i have been living here in the dr for about ten yrs and the one thing that was missing to complete my happyness was this.

I think this maybe a scam as I have called and am ready to buy with no response. The secretary says she will will call but no response.

Anyone else having any luck obtaining a satellite tv system in Sosua.

I do not want the direct tv black box that always has to be illegally programmed

Skytv being installed in my house as I type. laptop full of dust. House full of holes, and 2.5 hours trying and still no signal on satellite!!! Will keep you up to date and let you know if it works!! (Juan Dolio by the way - and ordered a week ago)

I am very happy with my service here in Puerto Plata. We get all the channels (except porn) and we have had no service interruptions at all.

I am told they will be adding the Dominican stations to the line up shortly. That is the one issue I have - there is nothing local available.

Installation was 3129 RD$ including 4 boxes and the dish. It costs 1700 a month plus any PPV you want. You can probably get it lower pakages but I left negotiating to husband (bad move!). Be warned. It comes from Mexico so at the moment there are no Dominican channels but they say they will come soon.

SKY Mexico offers 3 services Satellite, Cell and Internet. We are hoping that Satellite will be followed by the other 2 services..... and soon.

Planner, do you have a channel list you can post here? Someone replied before but instead of the list, they posted an email address. I'm wondering if it would be worth it for me to get this service. It all depends on the channels available.

I can't find a channel list but basically lots of news including CNN International, BBC world, RAI and the German one Loads of HBO, Fox, TNT Warner Channel and loads of other film channels. Loads of sport. Discovery, Nat Geo, History, A & E, people and Arts, Smut, plus Pay per view. if you let me know what channels you want I'll see if they are there. WEbsite is www.sky.com.mex and that shows you the channels one by one so takes a while!!!

No idea. But I have a funny feeling maybe not - I suppose depends if Mexicans watch baseball. We'll just have to wait and see.

just got the good news sky will be having a baseball pkg.this season like directv so you get to watch all the games this comming season now i am complete. thankyou i am in heaven. they dont have the amount yet.
