This common in Canada and the US but I'm told it is illegal here

My wife and I have it in conjunction with our wills..... no 'life on a respirator ' for us !!

Not allowed here, I'm told

Here’s the response to my question

Hello! So no, one 100% sure we don’t have anything alike and is 100% unlawful, as by the constitution of the country life protection and preservation of life cannot be repealed by a self-declaration or counterparts agreement

It makes sense since the country is heavily influenced by Catholicism and I don't think the church supports DNR (at least they didn't when I was in parochial school)

I know someone who has a doctorate in theology from a Roman Seminary. His thesis was about the use of "extraordinary means" to prolong life. According to him a DNR is totally permissible.

My brother, who died in October, had a DNR. It was a non-issue in a US hospital.

My wife said she will wait a few days before taking me to the hospital to make sure I am dead so she doesn’t have to argue with them at the hospital.
