Do 3g phones still work in the DR?

I have a like new LG v20 dual sim. Was planning on using it in the DR or giving it away there. I am told it's 3G, which companies if any use 3G in the DR and if so how long will they continue to? Thank you

Yes, they work and will work for very long time, the 3 Companies has 3G in bands 850/900/1900

sure they do. But data may be slow. Best network for 3G data would be Viva.
