I am a diehard believer that el Cibao contains the highest quality of population pound for pound in the country. That being said, Bani, holds a special place in my heart. Look no further than the patron saint of Bani which is, Nuestra Se?ora de Regla, which gives a hint of the ethos. A clean town, famous amongst other things for their mango's, and in my opinion some of the most welcoming small pueblos in the South of the country. Not a whole lot to do but....., good for the simple life if that is your thing. Mountain communities to the North, interesting beaches and terrain to the West, and you are close enough to the metropolis of Santo Domingo to meet any high end needs.
