Does the DR produce Vanilla Beans?

NYC, 1st ave and 6th st. "Dual specialty shop" They have beans at $2,25 a bean, they are stated to be from Madagascar, I have my doubts but it is a good quality bean. It's also an amazing place to shop for spices.

Some bakers keep special sugar and put vanilla bean into it, which is one way to make a single bean go farther.

Everybody does...after using it in milk you keep the bean in sugar or marmelade,liqid sugar for daiquiry.
(Put chocolate in coffee beans and forget it...after 2 weeks double surprise)
