Frank Hans Dannenberg Castellanos presented credentials to the General Governor of Canada, Mary J. Simon in a ceremony in Ottawa, Canada on Friday, 17 November 2023. Dannenberg Castellanos had been named in July 2023 after serving in Russia and India.
During the letters of credence ceremony, Dannenberg Castellanos highlighted the importance of consolidating the Dominican Republic as a key strategic partner for Canada in the Caribbean and Latin America. He emphasized he will carry out new efforts to boost trade and tourism, and foster high-level official visits.
Dannenberg Castellanos invited the Governor General of Canada to visit the Dominican Republic on the upcoming 70th anniversary of official diplomatic relations. The Dominican Republic and Canada established diplomatic ties in 1954.
