The Dominican consul in Los Angeles, California, Alfonso Rodriguez is living the nightmare of the forest fires. He had to evacuate his home as many other Dominicans living in the impacted area. He said that those that are not ordered to leave their homes, should not do so because the roads are just as dangerous. He urged Dominicans to follow instructions of the authorities. He says he now needs to find where to relocate as he cannot return to his home.

The situation is dire there. And the fires are a long way from being under control.

Many people have nowhere to go and have lost everything. Rebuilding, if they even had insurance to do so, could take many years
and areas by the coast face massive government regulations if they want to do so.

For many people there will not be good outcomes.

Sure, San Diego is a great area, but being able to live there isn't cheap. And the government in CA is awful.
