Bail Denied .................

All 12 have had one of many to come days in court and ALL 12 have been held without bail.

The person who posted the youtube video mentioned there was a problem with the live stream and they were only able to record eight of them. They sure don't look like street tough rapping dudes now.

Some unanswered questions . . . .
Are they born in the USA . . . ?
My question would be, how do you know those that attacked this poor kid are not all U.S born citizens . . . ?
Has it been determined if these parasites are US of A born citizens, or Dominican immigrants? . . .

When I posed this question to someone here (a co-worker in Santo Domingo) who is very familiar with this case, their instinctual response to me was . . .

Guess?

Where do you think they were born and raised?

I embaressingly didn't answer, but my my formal reply to the thread here . . .

All THIRTEEN who have been detained so far, were BORN in La Republica Dominicana with the exception of Kevin Alvarez, Jose Muniz and Danilo Payamps Pacheco.
. . . to kill someone with a machete is a whole different level and style of crime and violence. . .
. . .Where did these people grow up that they have no regard for a human being and literally chop him up that way. . .
. . . Where did those ruthless human beings grow up? Who raised them and surely whoever did, did not succeed in raising progressive human beings who contribute positively to society. . .

Although three of the thirteen were BORN in New York, Jose Muniz ("El canelito" whose firearm filled instagram photo and YouTube video seemed to upset a poster in this thread to the point that he found it "too risky" to post the actual photo, moved to the Dominican Republic at the age of three and was raised in "La Republica D.", even appearing on a local TV show as an adolescent. He returned to live in Paterson, N.J.

The simple answer . . .

ELEVEN of the THIRTEEN so for detained, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC.

Exactly, and the reason it is posted in the Forum "Dominicans Abroad". :)

Understood, and quite possibly my assertion was not clearly and properly articulated. My statement was more in line with the historical fact that many immigrant communities within the US of A city of New York contain small segments from within that give a bad reputation to the larger whole. I do not believe any immigrant community is immune to this, but it always seems to revolve around New York. I have never been a huge fan of this city in comparison to other global cities. No denying it's place at the table within the world structure, but just not one of my personal favorites.

I think you guys are missing what Caonabo is trying to say ..
NYC ALLOWS this kind if Tragedy to happen. And only THEN do they have a MASSIVE Police Reaction..
AFTER the Fact ..

IN the DR , say what you want about Corruption etc, but they Handle their Business..
These Thugs would have been dealt with , and swiftly..

Very true, New York problem, but many of these kids were born in DR :(

Correct, but they seem to be spending their formative years in New York. Why do events as such not occur in RD? This is not to say that there is not juvenile or young adult criminal activity, but it is not on the scale or with the depravity that you read or watch coming out of places like New York. It is only my personal belief that this particular city may have something wrong deeper within it's core, and ALL immigrant communities that have passed through this location have been exposed to it's violent nature in some way, shape, and form.

gotcha........

Did you see that movie La Soga? I believe it was the PN General who was ****ed because the Dominicans would come to Nuevo York and learn their gangster, delinquent habits and then the bad apple gets deported back to the DR. I may not have all the details correct but something on that order.

Only watched that movie a half dozen times.

Trust me, it is not just Dominicans acting a fool in the USA. Just that this is a DR message board.

To a degree I believe you are correct. It has been a month since this young man was murdered by these scum of the earth gangsters. Why was this criminal network not completely eliminated? One month later, and there are still those affiliated with them committing more and more acts of violence. How is this allowed to continue? I have said it previously, and I will say it again…..these criminals are not representative of Dominicans. Dominicans are sickened by these ba$tards.

Obviously you don't understand the USA. First a mental evaluation will need to be done. Someone will determine that at a young age they ate fried plantains which were fried in three week old oil which had a terrible impact on their brains. In the meantime they will be in protective custody from their own fellow gang members who want to kill them ........... and Caonabo this is NO exaggeration.

Sad as it is this is how the USA system works. Is it F'ed up? You better believe it.

I understand that the US of A justice system is a one filled with extensive delays and excuses, but I am making reference to the remainder of this so called gang which continues to operate, as mentioned in the link above. Not the ones accused of this heinous act.
