Suddenly with this electoral crisis, everyone wants Leonel back. It has been magic for him. He couldn't have asked for better circumstances! He is the one & only beneficiary of that meltdown. It's almost like he planned it ;)

Andrés Pastrana, an ex-President of Colombia, made a video sent to Ito Bisonó and to be shown to the Dominican population declaring Luis Abinader as the winner in the following elections. His group (Internacional Demócrata de Centro or IDC) publicly supports Abinader. The organization is a collection of Christian-democrats and social-democrats parties from around the world. Its ideology is based on a Christian humanitarian. Pastrana is slso part of the liberals of Latin America.

Gonzalo.
Why do I think this?
The PLD Admin just
recieved a 650 million
dollar loan from the IMF
to buy as many votes as
they can. They are still
pissed about not recieving
their China (investments)
money in time to steal the election
hence all the press late last
year about the "regret" of no
longer recognizing Taiwan.
Anyway, rest assured the PLD
is buying votes as we speak with
a loan meant to help the country's
most needy.

For several months serious polls in society placed Abinader ahead of Gonzalo, but now Gonzalo is ahead of Abinader, certainly helped by the Covid-19 shutdown. Some people are also claiming that the party in power uses the national curfew for political activities and promoting Gonzalo.

Indeed it has. Anyone who thinks otherwise doesn't
know the reality of how things work in this country.
A lot of folks may disagree with some of the things
I say on here but I will back up anything I post on DR1.

Neighbor of mine works for PLD. The fix is in folks.
This Administration has spent milliions of US Dollars
to secure this election. Vote buying? Nothing to see
here people.... keep it moving.

I took these photos at my neighbor's apartment a few
hours ago. These bags are full of staple food items and
are being handed out door to door after 7pm at night when
they know people will be home.

Leonel is polling second quite strongly behind Abinader. Castillo is an also ran. Abinader should win.

The claims are not unsubstantiated. In some locations, they are compensating (500 pesos) out of work motoconchos to tear down Abinader posters, and then a van comes along and replaces them with Gonzalo posters. All under the cover of darkness. Usually between the hours of 1-3am.

I think Leonel would be a better crisis president. He is by far the most experienced.

Polls, schmolls. Leonel would like you to believe he is polling second. This is a falsehood. One need go no further than locations he has historically dominated in the past, and check the pulse of those communities presently.
It is an Abinader/Castillo race, with Leonel hanging around to disrupt.
Remember, a candidate needs 50% + 1 of the vote to avoid a runoff election.

Crisis president? Is Haiti attempting to invade?
Leonel is the most experienced though, if you wish to continue having your pocket picked.
Him and his wife are the RD's version of the Clintons.
Never mind.

Fernandez a good orater, much like Obama. Everything they have accomplished in "my" time here has been slight of hand or superficial. Serious woes and critical path such as energy, education are ever present. Some work on infrastructure has been accomplished, but much much less than was funded? The Tucano and Odebrecht scandals are some of the PLD hallmarks.
