A theme I have been hearing a lot is investigate where their wealth came from and prosecute( jail them)

Doubt it will ever happen. The politicians have a legal obligation to file financial statements every so often. There are many scofflaws. The scofflaws get bad press but the continue onward without correction.

There are hundreds of them (I believe over a thousand) who have not complied with that requirement and those who have, have very little relation to the truth.
