The Epidemiology Department of the Ministry of Public Health Bulletin #174, numbers show less persons are testing positive for Covid-19. For Bulletin #174, 3,617 first time tests patients were tested with a 22.28% positivity rate. The positivity rate over the past four weeks is still at 27.47%.



As per Bulletin #174, with the deadline of 8 September 2020, 233 new confirmed cases are reported. The Ministry of Public Health has registered 100,937 confirmed cases since the first case on 1 March 2020. The PCR testing is 38,642 tests per million inhabitants. The number of deaths is 1,914, including 25 deaths in the past 24 hours of the bulletin. The fatality rate is 1.90% over the past four weeks.



The Ministry of Public Health reports 27% of the total available hospital beds for Covid-19 patients (3,566). The occupancy of intensive care units for Covid-19 is now at 43% of the 569 available units.
