Greatest team of all time !
You must have missed the Yankees Dynasty years.
Maybe you are too young to have seen it

I did not write the article, only posted it. And I was at Ebbets field in 1955 for game 5 of the World Series that the "Dynasty" lost to the Brooklyn Dodgers.............Dodgers World Series Champs 1955

And you can remember ?
I used to know the entire Yankee lineup, their batting averages and the number of home runs.
This Dominican team is good but they would be dusted by some of the great teams of the past.
Later in life I got more interested in Yankee catcher Yogi Berra's witticisms, like:
"You better cut the pizza in four pieces because I’m not hungry enough to eat six."

I remember it like yesterday. I lived a bike ride from Ebbets Field. Walt Alston the Dodgers manager lived a block away from me. I used to wash his car for him...........

Joe DiMaggio autograph I got this from him when he stayed at the Waldorf Astoria. Marilyn Monroe let me in. I was about 8 years old..............I should have got her autograph, but I didn't know about her at the time.............

Not a New Yorker, but in St. Louis growing up Catholic I went to the same church as Red Schoendiest, then the Cards' manager. As an altar boy, got to be the platen holder for him for communion multiple times. I was probably 15 or 16 and was stoked!

Greatest team of all time? What a joke.

GO YANKEES!
I AGREE with you.

And this Dominican team couldn't compete with the Big Red Machine of the mid-1970s, or the Mighty A's of the early-70s, or even the 1975 Red Sox.

The 1970-1977 Reds had 6 MPVs, failing to win in '71 and '74. AND the 1975-1076 teams would've sent this Dominican squad packing.
