Dominican Republic urges citizens to leave Lebanon amid escalating conflict

The Ministry of Foreign Relations has advised Dominicans living in Lebanon to depart that country. Following a surge in Israeli attacks, the Dominican Embassy in Turkey, that oversees Lebanon, reports around 150 Dominicans live in the impacted region.

The Dominican Republic has advised its citizens in Lebanon to depart the country while commercial flight options are still available, following a surge in the Israel and Hezbollah war.

The Dominican Embassy says they have been in contact with those living in Lebanon and most live in areas outside the immediate conflict zones. However, three have requested assistance to secure travel documents to return to the Dominican Republic.
