They tell me that they cut the vines back hard to simulate winter and that way they generate two harvests a year.

They also tell me the wine very good...... no personal experience yet
It's a long haul for me.

Closer to you AE, I expect....

wine from stocks not running a 12 months cycle including a real winter, are not wines.

Exactly correct on the wine and doubly so on Brahma. :laugh:

The grapevine prefers the temperate climate in which it evolved, with warm, dry summers and mild winters. Winters of sustained cold kill grapevines. High humidity promotes vine disease. Tropical temperatures disrupt the normal vine cycle of winter dormancy.
