ahh have you forgotten, Sammy Sosa, supposedly his wife cheated on him with Sergio Vargas, El Torito got divorced because his wife cheated on him and I think also Frank Reyes got divorced for the same reason, its understandable that all these artist get cheated on, they don't give their wives any quality time.

This is what these Women chose so to blame their cheating on the Men who are out on the road most of the time trying to keep them living in high style is a as disrespectful as it is dishonest. Then adding insult to injury by being careless enough to get impregnated by another Man? How much psychological damage will her children (and his) reap from that?

DNA testing is turning out to be a two edged sword. Judges used to say "If you feed it long enough it'll start to look just like you". It's no wonder as many couples decide to simply live together as decide to marry.

These Women target wealthy and famous Men who are in professions which carry them away from home for long periods of time and when they retire from their sport or their entertainment value is diminished by time they file for divorce citing the Man's infidelity while ignoring their own. IMO it's more Pay 4 less Play and they're no better than WU Mami's....just richer.

These Women are liars, hypocrites, thieves and ho's. No wonder so many of their offspring end up in rehab.

It's not a double standard. These Women knew what they were dealing with when they went into the deal. The guy makes the money. He was probably a ho before he got rich and famous (especially the "jocks") and that's not likely to change and she silently knows and accepts this as part of the deal. Have you ever been to an "All Star" weekend event? There's thousands of sports groupies for every athlete. They fly in from all over just to get a shot at one of these guys. It's like that everywhere these guys go.

The "lucky one" that gets chosen out of a wide field of candidates gets to share in the money if she makes his house a home, has his kids and supervises the nannies, cooks, maids, maintenance men and cabana boys for whom he is paying. How many celebrity wives really expect other Women to cease to vie for their husbands' attention. How many Women actually expect their rich and famous husbands to rise above all the temptation swirling around them when on the road, at charity events, promotional events, etc.?

None. They just hope the guy is discreet enough to keep it from becoming an issue and reflecting upon his family.

It would only be a double standard if she were equally wealthy, famous, powerful and never touched a cent of his money but most of them end up with younger/ better looking/ more accessible Men (with less money, BTW) to stay home with the kids while THEY are on the road diddling whomever. No double standard there.

Really? And for every woman who cheats on her man because he's constantly on the road, I could show you three women who were faithful to their men even when these men spent an eternity en Nuebayol trabajando y mandando cualto to' la semana pa' manten? la familia.

Men and women are not equal*. There are double standards at play in our everyday lives between men and women, and pretending they don't exist makes the conversation grind to a halt every time.

I'll tell you what-you want equality, ask a guy out the next time, pay for dinner and drinks and drive the guy home in your own car. Do this every single time you date a man, then you have the right to question these so-called double standards. AZB and others would probably have you believe that it doesn't happen in the so called "better classes" of Santiago, I would say it is probably better concealed with those people than anywhere else. I must say I am a little surprised at how frequent dominicanas cheat.

Infidelity is indeed universal.

Something that differentiates the DR for me is the "approved infidelity" that goes on. If a Dominicana has a viejo abroad who sends money, buys her a cell phone, a passola etc it is actually considered a status symbol, rather than infidelity. Her Dominican bf/husband will condone the "relationship". Is this infidelity?
I know of three Dominican women who have European husbands and quite openly have their Dominican boyfriends as well.
To answer the OP, I think the % of cheating Dominicanas is very high indeed. 70 - 80%.

I have met a very beautiful Woman in Santo Domingo who is as classy as they come, but of humble origin. She is married to a Man who lives and works in Puerto Rico and comes to live with her twice a year for a couple weeks each trip. He has provided a very nice house for her and sends her money on a regular basis. They've been going on like this for about 5 years now and have no children. (heard this story before, huh?) This Woman is 100% faithful to her Man. She will go out clubbing with her girlfriends and has many eligible male acquaintances and an active social life but she will not go past "sociable" with any of them. If I knew more than one I might even buy into that monogamy BS but in my experience she is one of a kind. I don't know her husband but I'll bet dollars to doughnuts he's a jerk.

So yes, class does have a lot to do with it. Not the "economic status" kind but the "personal values" kind.

No, it was me that introduced that slant on it.
To be perfectly honest, over the years I have come to realise that infidelity is very, very commonplace amongst Dominican women. I was once told by some male Dominican friends that they don't really like having one particular g/f as it is quite commonplace for them to go with someone else.

class does have a lot to do with it. Not the "economic status" kind but the "personal values" kind.

Same rules apply. I also know a few Dominicanas who are married to or live with Dominicanos there who are just as happy and just as faithful and their husbands/ SO's and I have no reason to suspect that these guys are straying at present either but that's so boring to talk about. They also do not seem to represent the majority of couples I have met there.

I have seen some really strange things in the interactions between spouses. One which sticks in my mind the most was a beautiful and very personable Woman who married her first love and had two equally beautiful children with him. She worked as a seamstress and he did whatever odd job or hustle he could find and found time for dominoes and lots of cervezas with his friends every night while they lived in her Mother's house. Eventually he ran of with her younger Sister and left her and the kids to fend for themselves...long story short, she ends up with a US novio who's totally into her and her children and she eventually (after a coupla years) gets pregnant with his child. They were very happy about this and planned to have a life together. At the end of her second trimester as her story gets around town and her "Husband" finds out about it (he'd since kicked Baby Sis to the curb for the next 16 y/o) he confronts her in the street and stomps her out right there in broad daylight. I didn't witness the beating but the pictures were gruesome. She lost the baby and almost died from the attack. He was out of jail way before she was out of the hospital. Her bubbly personality was forever damaged and she grew apart from her US novio, probably because he was intent upon exacting revenge at that point, knew the right people and had the resources to carry it out. The relationship had grown dark and they lost contact with one another because of it. This guy is the most amicable, easy going guy I know and you know what they say about still waters.

As for the "Husband" How is it that a dishonorable Man can seek his "honor" from a dishonorable deed? That mentality defies logic. He was incensed because his "trash" became the "treasure" of another Man who stepped in as the Man he never will be...and he blamed her?
