Dominicana in America Got Talent Show

About four weeks ago a Dominicana made it to America Got Talent show. In her introduction, Sofía Vergara (Colombian) without knowledge of what happened asks her if her parents are happy for her to be on that show and everyone was shocked when she tells the story that her parents were murdered in front of her in Philadelphia.

The judges know in advance any significant info that they think may move the audience. The contestants can then produce tears on the spot.
