I wonder if anyone has ever sat down and tried to calculate what the approximate difference in labor costs would be between using Dominicans vs. Haitians.
Didn't the Dominican Association of Builders and Housing Developers recently have a round table discussion where this topic was included?

The first step is to figure out how much is the overhead cost of every employee. With illegal immigrants companies save (and pocket) this amount since laborers of that type only costs the company what they are paid in salaries. Many times the overhead nearly equals or equals what is paid in salaries. From the employees point-of-view their costs to the company they work for is what they are paid since they never see the overhead costs, but from the company’s point-of-view each employee costs them his salary plus the overhead.

With this the actual salaries level hasn’t been scrutinized yet.

OK, but I've read on here that if a Haitian takes an employer to Labor Court (whatever it's called), that the court doesn't take into account immigration status. So the only thing I can think of on the overhead costs are the emplyer pension contribution. Is there more?

We did have some humorous conversations during my Galeras years
Chat I think it was on WhatsApp. During the pandemic. I had moved from Santo Domingo to Las Terrenas. Never real conversation and I never met you. You were a bit of a vaccine sceptic I remember. I was keeping an open mind. I always try and find the middle of politics.

Any person that went through the legal system to become a legal immigrant in the United States is against these illegals entering the Border it's a new day and most Dominicans I know they are pissed how many illegals have enter they bleed the red white and blue .

it's almost the same here as the foreigners who do not have residency but always pay the overstay chart inside the people who did it legally are angry they may not admit it but they are Happy Sunday Folks
