That has to exclude PC AIs, or even AIs elsewhere. Right?

I guess it would depend on the price point in PC. Certain times of the year you can find some relatively decent prices. But for "luxury" I think the average they quoted is a bit off. Or maybe the price is per person based on two people traveling?

Just as a comparison, I will be up at the Viva Heavens in Puerta Plata on 21 March with 2 other adults and an infant. For the 4 of us, it's $261/night. Never been so don't know how good that's going to be.

For me, the price is good since I know what the Riu and Hard Rock in PC charge.
That's a good deal. PC pricing has risen in recent years for sure.

Electricity grid failure plunges Cuba into fourth blackout in five months

The outages come as the island battles its worst economic crisis in 30 years, including widespread shortages of food, medicine and fuel alongside high inflation.

My sister in law from Santo Domingo was here in Belgium for two weeks in February.
Her husband, the former general manager of Bahia in RSJ, he is from Mallorca, is now in charge of the building of a resort in Cuba.
We were having a fondue bourguignon in my house and she send him pictures.
His answer was: “I haven’t seen red meat or pork for months!”
There is nothing there.
He is a tough guy but is thinking of giving up this life.
Imagine the people not in his position.

Had to look up fondue bourguignon. I'm just not fondue kind of guy. Maybe my Haitian guests?
It would great at AI's kinda like the Japanese Steakhouse model,

Fondue bourguignon is a Swiss dish where you dip bite-sized pieces of raw meat (usually beef) into hot oil to cook them right at the table. It’s interactive and social, served with various dipping sauces like garlic butter, mustard, or aioli. Think of it as a fun, hands-on experience—less like a stew and more like a DIY cooking party.

Thanks for your explanation…I wrote it wrong it’s bourguignonne.
As you explained. It’s entertaining slow dining. We love it… once a month or so.

I like that model of restaurants at the AI's because you meet and dine with other guests it's fun. I am a little bit of a Grand Palladium junkie and they have some good restaurants there.
