DR joins WHO’s Solidarity Trial on meds and treatments used for Covid-19

Dr. Adrian Puello, Deputy Minister for Collective Health, and Dr. Carlos García Lithgow, coordinator of Hemodynamics at the Centers for Diagnostic and Advanced Medicine and Medical Conferences and Telemedicine (Cedimat) are participating for the Dominican Republic in the World Health Organization (WHO) Solidarity Trial. Colombian Dr. Ana Maria Henao Restrepo is the team leader for the WHO, where she is the medical officer for the Department of Immunization, Vaccines and Biologicals.

During the 21 May press briefing, Public Health Minister Rafael Sánchez Cárdenas explained the study is sponsored by the WHO to study the effectiveness of medicine and procedures used around the world for Covid-19.
