Tourism Minister David Collado was in New York City for the opening of the Dominican Republic’s Grand Glass Dome at NYC’s Times Square. The Change the Season event is open to the public from 8 to 15 December 2024.
The bubble is located at Duffy Square, in Broadway, between 45th and 46th streets, in Times Square. It is open through 15 December from 9am to 9pm.
The activities taking place at the dome include culinary tasting of signature Dominican dishes such as sancocho and asopao. Free drinks including morisoñando, and others paired with mango and passion fruit are served to those attending. There are dance performances featuring traditional merengue and bachata rhythms, both recognized as UNESCO cultural treasures.
