Well the latest information on DR1 News is that you can't get a test certificate you can come anyway and have you temperature taken on arrival. My guess is that there may be a delay for those without certificates.

Well I think I will still get tested anyway before going and carry a letter from my doctors office just in case. But it seems to be that there have been a few new posts today on DR1 in another forum saying that it won’t be required unless the passenger temperature upon arrival Is above 38degrees, and if so then they will be tested at the airport. Don’t quote me though. I’m waiting to see when someone on here actually arrives in RD on a flight and posts what their experience was upon arrival.

Seems we have some strong manly men beefcake types on this board. It's wonderful to be strong, desirable, healthy and wealthy.

By the way, does anyone have information on tourists entering the DR today?
Here is what happens today (July 1/20). This is directly from the DR1 news page. Thank you Delores

This is what is in effect as of 1 July 2020:

There will be temperature checking at the airport. Nevertheless, there are no restrictions for arriving passengers. That is, no PCR or testing certificates are required. There will be no quarantine for arriving passengers, with the exception of those that test positive for fever upon arrival.

The curfew is lifted. Mobility is authorized at all times.

Restaurants are authorized to serve patrons until 10pm, afterwards by takeout or delivery. They are under new protocols.

Discos, casinos, cockfighting, movie houses and theaters are still closed.

Lifting the curfews and going back to business is exactly what caused the virus to spike in countries around the world and has put the US in the position of very near to overwhelming the hospital system.
Maybe the DR will be different than the rest of the world?
