The Dominican Republic will be contributing the cost of medical assistance to the MSS staff in Dominican hospitals, Foreign Minister Roberto Alvarez announced when wrapping up the present and future contributions to the peace-seeking force in Haiti in his remarks at the UN Security Council meeting on 3 July 2024.

“The incipient progress of the multilateral cooperation that has been strongly denied by critics, but the situation is showing this is the correct path,” he pointed out speaking to the United Nations Security Corps members at the UN headquarters in New York.

In New York, Alvarez also met with Haiti’s Prime Minister Gary Conille and Foreign Minister Dominique Dupuy, who were present for the UN Security Council meetings.
