Noooooo! I hate those things. I have to keep requesting a new captcha until I get one I can actually decipher and clicking all the "cars" is just tedious. Hoping for a solution that doesn't compel good folks to join the circus to login.

Maybe new member's posts are held for approval until a moderator has a look at the post and clicks OK. There are enough moderators on at all times day and night that the delay wouldn't be very long.

It's 100% automated. They just target domains and types of forum software. They couldn't carless what language or subject matter the site covers.

and it gets worse once all the MODS have gone off to sleep. I think last night, or maybe the night before it had gotten up to 40 or 50 pages with 40 posts on each page.
