J Balvin show in Santo Domingo
Presidente beer is sponsoring the show of Colombian reggaeton singer J Balvin in the Palacio de los Deportes of the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center. This show is scheduled for 8pm on 31 August 2019. It is part of J Balvin’s Arcoiris Tour 2019.

J Balvin is among the most influential Latino artists today. His biggest hits include “Mi Gente,” “I Like It,” “6 AM,” and “Ay Vamos.”

In 2018, J Balvin became the most streamed artist worldwide on Spotify, racking up over 48 million monthly listeners worldwide.


Daddy Yankee and Farruko to close Presidente Beer extravaganza
Puerto Ricans reggaeton singer Daddy Yankee and Latin trap performer Farruko are booked for the closing act at the “Furgón más frío” Latin artists summer show sponsored by Presidente beer. That evening Dominican urban star El Nene La Amenazzy will share the stage. The performances will be on Saturday, 21 September 2019 at the Félix Sánchez Olympic Stadium in Santo Domingo.

Tickets for the closing event are on pre-sale at RD$1,000 (general admission) and RD$2,500 pesos (full experience) at Uepa Tickets and through the Colmapp app.


Dominican wins Mr. World Caribbean
Representing the Dominican Republic, Alejandro Martinez, 26, was crowned Mister World Caribbean 2019 during the Mr. World 2019 coronation night on 23 August 2019 at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. He is a spinning instructor, an actor and a model.
Martinez has a degree in child psychology. As a model, he has worked with Dominican and Latin American fashion designers.

Martinez hails from Salcedo, Hermanas Mirabal. He currently resides in New York, United States.
72 countries competed in Mr. World 2019.

On 30 September 2017, Martinez had been appointed Mr. World Dominican Republic in a conteset held at the Bar Juan Lockward of the National Theater in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He succeeded Braylin Miguel Vargas Nuñéz, 22, of Santiago de los Caballeros.


Hyatt Ziva/Zilara Cap Cana to open in November 2019

Its twin, the Hyatt Zilara is designed for adults with swim-up suites, an underground spa with a larimar stone infused sky-lit lagoon and the country’s first Himalayan Salt Lounge. It also features a fitness center modeled to look like an old rum distillery.
