However? Having lived in California (and northern N.E.) for many years, we were always prepared and are here too; be it earthquake, hurricane, winter blizzard...….. or whatever.

Side note. We lived in San Francisco when this one 6.9 hit. NO Warnings at all. Most buildings and infrastructure had been built/upgraded for earthquakes yet the damage was pretty bad.

I was in Northern Haiti for the 2010 quake. It was devastating there because of the influx of refugees. We felt it but had negligible damage. I don't want to go thru that again.

No where near Punta Cana - Actual location was 60+ miles NE of Punta Cana, way north, out in the Atlantic...
